Been trying to get a local dealer to activate the DRL option on my 04.5 - neither of the service depts in town know, or can seem to find, the method to do this. Can someone post detailed instructions for me to take in and get this done? Both service depts have told me that they are more than willing to do this, if I can tell them how..... (I know, it just ain't right - but that's the way it is). One tech told me that it was only an option on Canadian rigs, but posts here have stated otherwise - TIA for any help!

 

Just had mine activated last week. My brother works at a dealership so they will do anything for me. Here's what I told the guy. : I need my DRL's activated. What are DRL's ? Daytime running lamps. Oh most people don't call them that. OK. I've never done it before, I think I need my scanner. Yes you need your scanner, pick Canada for the country code then look for the DRL option then turn them on.
That's it he figured it out because they are on now. Good luck don't take no for an answer.

 

i have had two trucks done and u don't change the country code you get to the FCM and it will go to the headlights. the qestion is on this program ,the front control module on the menu. worked like a charm on a 04 and 05
