tall narrow 17'' tires?

I am looking for a 34-36'' tire, 950-10.50 x17 A/T tire. does anyone know of anything? I have 52000 on my cooper A/T's 315-70-17's. I really like the coopers, but would like to see what else is out there since I have to get some tires soon before winter gets here.

I think I'm running the tallest/skinniest tire available which is 285/75/17 Nitto Dura Grapplers but I could be wrong.

Nothing available yet or I would be running it.

I had to settle for 285/70-17s

I haven't seen anyone that actualy carries the 285/75-17 yet.

Yup. It's a new size but it's not narrower than the 285/70 though.....

Tall narrow Toyos

I wanted the same thing - tall, narrow, and aggressive tread. I went with the Toyo MT 285-75-R 17. This is a newly available size (out less than a year I think). It went on my stock wheels and fit perfectly. According to the Toyo web site, they are 34.1" tall by 11.6" wide. I'm very impressed with the wear and lack of noise, especially for such an aggressive tread. Best deal I found was $ 275 each on line, shipping incl.

You shouldn't have a problem. I've seen 2wd's run 315/70R17's and 35x12.50R17's just like 4wd's.

i gave up...if you do a search you will see my numerous posts about the same issue.

I emailed and called all the tire companies repeatedly...no plans for a tall skinny street tire in the 17" variety

I would love to put some 255/85/17's on my dually!!

oh well...

But it's taller....

285/70 is 33" tall x 11.2" wide

285/75 is 34" tall x 11.6" wide

The 285/75 is good compromise IMO, I would take the extra height over the extra width any day of the week.

If you jump up to an 18" wheel, Toyo OC-MT have a nice size (285/75R18E) with a respectable 4000+ lbs. carry capacity. The specs are 35.1" by 11.6".
