talking shocks

need new shocks for my 2003 do not want a stiffer ride shock . would like a smoother ride over the stock ,I will leave truck at stock height and change from 265 tires to 285 . need help in selection thanks

Not sure how "interesting" the thread is, but it might help some. I purchased some Rancho 9000 shocks and just installed them yesterday. One nice thing about them is they have different settings from soft to firm. So if you want a real cushy ride you can turn the shocks "down", but if you get into a situation where you are pulling or loaded down....you can turn the shocks "up". These shocks run about $75-80 a piece.

There are other brands out there though, that have this adjustable feature. They may be better than Rancho....I don't know. But I do know that Rancho is a good brand that has been around a long time and I don't recall reading anything bad about them. Good luck.

I have had the rs9000's and the pro-comp mx6's the 9000's rock the mx6's well......I thought they sucked. get the rs9000's and never look back..........

JCR....Im glad it worked out for me to get the 9000s. I almost bought the Pro Comp MX6's, but they don't offer them for NON-lifted (like 5'') Dodge trucks. At least not at the store I bought them from...4wheel parts. Basically I got the Rancho's by default. NO regrets so far.
