Identifying Vin.#'s

Hey, I was looking at som trucks last night after hours, and got to wodering if there was a way to know by the Vin.# if an '03 has the HO/48RE. If so, where at in the sequence of numbers and what code?

Thanks for the quick reply. So if I read it right it's the 8th # in the sequence with 6/SO-47RE, and C/HO-48RE. Correct?

I think your right, being that VERY FEW non-HO '03's came with a 48re, but ALL HO '03's came with a 48RE or Manual. You can also look on the front cover. There should be a plate stating the HP, among other things. I beleive 315 HP was HO for 2003, with a rated 555 ft-lbs torque. I pretty sure, but not 100%
