Sun visor problem
Two days ago the passenger sun visor in my truck decided that it liked the hanging position better than the stowed position. It feels as tho the friction thingy that holds it up has lost it's friction. In the days of earlier sun visors, it was possible to tighten a small screw and restore the tension. I can't see or feel anything like this on this modern day garbage. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, is there a fix? (besides throwing the visor in the garbage and buying a new one). I have tried to pull the 'shaft' out of the visor but there appears to be an internal lock holding it and do not want to force it.
If I have to replace it, I would like to replace it with one that has a light for the mirror. Any suggestions as to a suitable replacement? Is there a wire inside the roof lining just waiting for the suitable plug?

I recently had the same problem on my 04.5. Sorry but mine was still under warranty and the dealer installed a new one without any hassle. If it makes you feel any better, I'm sure the new visor will fail shortly after the warranty expires.
My visor slid off the rod after it started swinging. The plastic "thing" that holds the visor on the rod and apparently provides the friction had twisted apart.
