Steering Wheel Radio Controls

I have a 2005 3500 with a RB4 radio. My steering wheel does not have the radio controls on the back side of the steering wheel. Can I just get a wheel that does and change it over? Is it already wired or do I need an additional wiring harness?

I honestly don't know, my '05 came with the controls from the factory.

There is a little info in the following aux horn switch thread.

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ad.php?t=98486

It wasn't clear if all RAMs have the same clock spring but, if so, you are pre-wired. I don't know if all RAMs have the timer module that converts the stearing wheel resistance signals to those buss signals needed by the radio. You may want to check under your dash.

Sorry can't be much help.

I am not very handy with electronics, but I am interested in trying to get the steering wheel mounted radio controls.

I found this:
