Steering Upgrade or not
So after 12 years and 90k miles I experienced the dreaded death wobble. I'm trying to take a practical approach to repair as the bank of me is not limitless, I already knew the ball joints were coming due (figuring on using the XRF's as that seems to be a good middle of the road choice), so that's step one. Just for grins and giggles I'll replace the stabilizer bar bushings and links. It seems adding a steering box brace is a reasonable cost add on to help keep things in one piece. Which leaves me with 2 other things to address; 1- the track bar, how bad is OE and can I get away with just new bushings. There is no suspension lift in the future and it seems the $300+ for a track bar may be unnecessary. 2 - Should I upgrade from the Y steering linkage system to the T upgrade, is it worth it and have they finally solved all the recall issues with that set up? Thoughts? Thanks for the input.

Thanks Danderson, It seems that XRF is producing there own version now too. So as with all things I'll have to compare and weigh price vs features/build. In any event from what I gather anything is better than the Y linkage. I'm not an engineer but it seems like for some strange reason they over complicated the steering with the Y thing and in the process made it weaker (stupider if that's a word).
