steering problems/please help

At first I noticed when I would turn sharp and usually the wheel will smoothly go back through your hand as it straightens out and it started kind of having a little jerks in it. Not when I turn it sounds like a bird chirping! My PS fluid is full. What could cause this? Is it too full? Is my PS pump going out? Please help as I use this truck as my daily driver.

Thanks!

Are you fairly certain? How hard is it to replace them myself? Thanks

Just got new tires and alignment 3500 miles ago. Surely that would make the chirping noise when I turn. What are the best u-joints to buy? I think I'll have a shop do it. Will it hurt it to drive it for another 2 days?

Y'all sure it isn't something else maybe?
thanks

Right on the money, $392 for new greaseable u-joints, installation taxes and all. Not too bad I thought.
