Stack crossover UNDER the bed ???

Need some input from those that may know.
I am going to put some 5" miter cut stacks on my 03. I want to be able to have a useable 4x8' floor in the bed, therefore I am thinking about putting the crossover under the bed. I know that it has been discussed before about the tank being in the way, but here is my idea. I am thinking that if I put a 3" body lift on the truck that it would give me the room I need to feed a 4" pipe through. My truck is still at the shop right now so I can't go out and check, but am asking you guys if you think it would be doable ? I figure that there has to be at least 3 or 4 inches between the bed and the tank now and the extra 3' should make room for the pipe and a heat sheild. Let me know what you guys think.

if you are that hell bent on going under the bed. Might I suggest going with a rectangular pipe, that has the same cross sectional area as a 4" or 5" pipe would have, and would still fit in the gap. I highly discourage a body lift for our trucks. I am not familiar with the Longbed frame to body clearances tho - as I have only worked on QCSBs

Didn't really think about doing that. Hmmm, I'll have to get under it and check it out tomorrow after work. The body shop is gonna love me. I already stop by every day to check progress.
Why don't you like the idea of a body lift ? Got one on my 95 and wheel the hell out of it. No problems in 7 years. Now the Superlift suspention lift, that's a whole different story. SuperJunk is what it should be called.

Got to the shop today and measured it up, There is around 5" between the bed and the top of the tank. I figure I can fab up a box 3" x 6" x the width of the bed. Here is the one thing I did not notice at first, I will have to keep the crossover back from the bulkhead about a foot so as to clear the fuel filler hose. No problem though as I will just make two small boxes in the bed to move the stacks back towards the bulkhead. So when I am finished you will see a small 6"x6"x12 long box in each corner and then the stack on top of each. I will be sure to get some pics of the whole thing as I make it. Will be a little while though.

Ohh yeah, also while I am making the under the bed crossover I will build a heat sheild into it to keep the heat from the tank.
