Well, I finally got the hood and lights taken care of. I really like the clear lights with the silver truck. Here are a few pics:

Thanks. I bartered it for legal work, but I think the going rate is about $600 for the hood and then $400-$600 to paint and install it. Sometimes you can find deals on the hood. I think there is a recent thread on the subject.

 

Nice lookin' rig. I used to be in Vegas. I was born and raised there until last Sept. when I retired from the Fire Dept. I lived out in Mission Hills in Henderson. What part of town are you in?

I was born and raised here, too. I live way out North in Aliante. I grew up in Charleston Heights/ Southwest and went to H.S. at Clark.

 

I went to Valley High School. graduated in 84. I worked at that Fire Station on Alliante and 215 until I retired.

 

I graduated in '82. This is a much different town from back then. We are looking to move to the mid-west - probably Indiana - in the next 2-3 years. Congrats on the retirement!

 

Thanks. We moved to a really small town for the kids. It is a much better pace of life here. So, you might have seen me driving the fire truck around. From the looks of your driveway, it looks like you are in that neighborhood right across the street from my old station.

 

Hood does look good, does it have some sort of air block for the air duct?

 

no, it is just open. At least on mine it is open

 

Thanks. It's got a black plastic cross hatch screen. The guy who put it on is looking for a billet insert to match the grille for me.
