Angry Squeaking Interior?????

While driving down the Highway I have a small popping sound that is coming from the passenger side of the truck. The 4X4Shifter Rubber rubs back a forth with the movement of the transmission and that makes a small scratching sound. There is something on the driver side that is pop crak pop crak pop- - - - -this is driving me crazy because I dont listen to loud music and I can hear everything.
Is anyone else having the same problems???? I have the floor console, Khaki interior, cloth seats, manual 4x4 shifter, auto!
I thought that it was the air vents hitting on the small plastic piece that is in the center to keep the vent from going only so far????? This erks me, not to mention that I installed my Vent Shades last night and accidentaly placed one a little low and crooked - - - -Thanks

Good Morning, All

I'm also in the same boat. I hear a squeak which seems to be coming from the rear window (slider). I have had a person in the rear seat to find it, but no luck.....

Next step....WD40 the whole thing......lol

Dunno man, maybe a leaf fell down in the blower motor.

All I can say is, get used to noise when you have little girls.

Na, its a totally different noise than a leaf in the blower. I have had that in all of my trucks before. And the noise from the little girl ----thats why I do not listen to loud music because I want a little peace and quiet at some time in my day. That would be the 30min ride to work and back everyday.

The shifter only does this everyonce in a while------the sound seems to be coming from the inside of the air vents up on the dash. There is a small piece of plastic the keeps the fins from moving to far and I beleive that this is where the pop is coming from. I was looking around the other day while driving and I found one of the pops on the driver side. It was the Window switch panel. I pushed it down and it quit, but then started back in a couple minutes. This really makes me !!! Upon looking at the interior peices I have come to the conclusion that there could be better Fit and Finish standards on the edges where plastics almost meet plastics. I'm through!

I had a drivers side creek were the two dash pieces come together on top, so I sprayed some silicone lube in the joint and the noise is gone.
