I've had four Dodge/Cummins trucks, all manuals, and none of them had the squeak. My dad has had three, all autos, and they all squeaked. I'm glad mine doesn't.

Another good reason to always get a manual with a Cummins!

I've noticed with mine, if I shut the A/C off 30 secs. before if turn off the motor it doesnt squeak, if the A/c is runnin then it squeaks.

Whew, I thought I was weird 'cause I miss it from my '01. My '04 stick dosn't do it.

My auto o4 does it like 90% of the time, especially hot. I absolutely love it when it does- the looks I get in a crowded parking lot are priceless. Wouldn't change it for nothing. If I wanted a quiet motor- I'd have kept my "other" 5.9 L!
