So I replaced my factory HU with the Kenwood DPX792BH eXcelon Double-DIN and it sounds great with the factory speakers. I figured it would sound even better with aftermarket speakers in the front doors. I tried the Rockford Fosgate Punch P1692 6 x 9-Inches (basket too big) and the JBL GTO938 6x9 (holes don't exactly match up). Amazon said both speakers would fit but they don't.


Anyone know of speakers that will fit the front door without any modifications to the door or the speakers? I have searched for hours and hours and have not found my exact truck mentioned with speakers that fit out of the box.


On another note, I checked the sound of the JBL's compared to the factory speakers since I already had everything apart. Actually the factory speakers sounds better than the JBLs. Anyone experience this? Maybe because I don't have an aftermarket amp? I still would think the aftermarket speakers would sound better than the factory speakers.
