I am looking to upgrade my speakers in my 06 I dont have the infinity system Shortly after i bought the truck i put a pioneer deh 6800 head unit in I am just looking to ditch the dodge paper speakers and get something with a more crisp sound I am wondering what is a good set of speakers for under 200 without running an amp Any advice is appreciated

I'm kind of new at the stereo thing but I was told the component speakers need an amp?

I'd get any good name brand 6x9 in the front and a 6.5 in the rear. You'll need to drill 3 new mounting holes for the 6.5 rears but I did it and it's no big deal. All 4 speakers replaced in under an hour.

 

I have Alpine Type S' in mine. The front and rear speakers. Great overall sound, but anything is better than stock.

 

I forgot to say I'm running the Polk Audio DB690 and DB650. Went in easy and sound great.
