So why did you buy A Dodge diesel?
So why did you buy A Dodge diesel?
For me I've always wanted a diesel. My dad has a 99 bone stock with 150k miles on it. He loves it, I love it too so I had to have a diesel. Why a dodge?
I've been a dodge guy my whole life. Started with 2 1970 dodge challengers.
My dad swears that nothing matches the cummins. I agree. Although I've never driven a ford or chevy diesel, I know International makes a **** good motor.
Chevy on the other hand, Izusu makes their diesel right?
I wont go there

CUMMINS Only.. I am not brand loyal... In fact if they put the 5.9l in a Full sized Ford, the fords are nice inside, but do you no good parked along side the freeway. Also the EASE of repair on the Cummins. Very simple engine bay, no need to LIFT THE CAB off the truck to repair it!
Owned a 2001 Pathfinder and traded it in. I get better fuel mileage, can tow more and have the ability to seat six! Not to mention the box on the back! Oh yeah, Almost forgot, Wife said I could!

I bought the dodge, because it was the only one with 4 swinging door that would fit in my garage. I can't fit a full crew cab in my garage and didn't like chevy's ext. cab. If chevy had this design, I would have a chevy instead. I like the cummins engine, but pretty much everything else has alot to be desired.
I think they have all summed my reason up also, I bought the motor, the truck came as the wrapping paper.
I previously had a 2001 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 2500 4x4, with the gutless 5.9L 360cid V8. I loved the overall size and features of the truck, but the motor had no powerand I was barely getting 9-11 mpgs.
I sold it and bought a 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4x4, with the 4.7L V8. I loved this truck, alot. I spent about $4,000 on new wheels, tires, Leer cap, bedliner, and a bunch of hi-po goodies for the motor. This truck was very fast and fun to drive. However, there was no room in the bed and it could not tow or haul anything.
I then bought my '04 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4, with the long bed. It is everything I will ever need, and then some. More power and more towing/hauling capabilities than I need. I love the power and the MPGs with the CTD.
When I was looking at trucks, I knew I wanted a diesel and just read too many horror stories with the 6.0L PSD trucks. I was looking at thge Duramax trucks, but I knew I wanted a solid front axle. So.........that really only left me with a Dodge!
I am very pleased I was able to find this truck, with all the great features, in great conditions, at a pretty good price!
