Smarty Leaves Codes

Finally Someone else noticed https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=171578

I have emailed Stefano at Mads about these codes. He assured me that smarty does not produce these codes and he left it at that. I have always had smarty produce these codes. If I change catcher levels it will reset these code counts. If I leave smarty on for more than 99 key counts on the same catcher # level codes AA & A7 will disappear. Smarty will not clear these codes. I like this down-loader and support its continual improvement. However at this point SMARTY does leave a footprint that it won't clear. Taking your truck in for service with A7 VIN checksum error
and AA PCM messages not received.............. plainly visable ..........

I would pm Bob Wagner about it. I'm sure he can help more.

let us know. the codes dont bother me as my truck will never see the dealer unless it dosent move foward for some reason, and even then i would remove the smarty before hand.

So if I remove my Smarty and take the truck into the dealer I will have no issues? Or will the dealer still detect the codes?

I drove to the dealer on the smarty software. In their parking lot, returned my truck to stock. Not caring that the dealer knows my TST is still connected, I asked the tech to hook up my truck to their scanner and tell me what he see.

There was NO trace of the smarty and the only ode it show was a ABS because of my tire size. This with him and the service manager looking right at my TST on the fuse box.

IMO, MADS claim that it not detectable is true. Now.... on the other hand, if you were to have major problems like blow injectors, melted turbo...etc, they will find out why and you will likely be voided.

Bottom line, for a basic trip to the dealer the smarty can't be seen.

Is this with the truck in your sig?

Do you have a beta TST, or are you playing with fire?

(sorry about the hijack-I'm for sure getting a Smarty, and I really want to duplicate the stack in my '03 Smarty/TST/MP-8)

I had a early TST box for the 07 that did work on my truck. Just the rail pressure didn't work. I used it on my truck for 6 month and then because of the word being put out about it not working on the 07 and the fact in the 6 months I had the box, they still didn't get the RP harness they were nice enough to refund my money.

I ran the Smarty and TST but now am sticking to the smarty and others until TST figure there box out for the 07. From what I understand though, they're putting more focus on the 6.7's now.

There is a guy over on Dodgetalk claming someone ratted him out to Chrysler because he had a Bullydog on his new 6.7. Apparently chrysler somehow made him "come in" and they hooked up to his computer and voided his warranty.

I find that very very hard to believe.

Bob,

What was the final verdict? Does Smarty leave a7 17 aa17 to a71 aa1 codes?
