Slipped up at the dealer.....

I just bought a loaded 2002 2500 QC CTD back in july and was very content with this fine truck and then.....I drive into the dealership tonight and there it is!! A car carrier unloading a 2003 3500 DRW 4 door CTD 4x4 laramie sport in white with taupe leather. Out comes the checkbook and 30 minutes later I am rolling out the lot with a new ride. ****! the other truck was barely broke in. I think it was destiny!! I have only put 10 miles on her so far but will give an update in the coming weeks.

It's weakness pure and simple.

I succombed on Monday, I just could not stand the sight of the 2003's any longer, so I ordered a 2500 Quad 4X4 H.O. SWB.

The waiting is the hardest part.

Did you trade in your 02 on the 03?? I'll bet you were totally upside down...hard! It couldn't have been a good deal for you since you've only had the 02 a few months. Hey, if you can do it; mopar to ya!

Get us a pic of that new one as soon as you can!

Naw, not a weakness, Nevada, D-hlaw was hypnotized by looking those two big bright eyes (headlights) and the soothing sound ot that 03 engine. Enjoy, D-hlaw!
P.S. Did they check your differential fluid?

Re:Slipped up at the dealer.....

I am fortunate that the owner of the dealership is also a client of mine. He sold me the last truck at invoice (true) and sold me this one at invoice as well. I was slightly negative but I will bill him later this month for the difference!! Being a lawyer has advantages. I will take some photos today and try to post them here.

Purdy white 4 x 4 sitting at my dealer's lot yesterday waiting for someone to come and adopt her. The white is slowly growing on me. If I could only find polished stainless fender outline thingys, glass running boards and some good flaps, I might like her even more. Sure looks naked now.

Re:Slipped up at the dealer.....

FiverBob, I just got the Ram package from DC today, and they included the accessory book which has a whole whack of gadgets designed to deep-six you bank account in short order. Of note, however, is a pretty nice set of glass boards with inset rubber strip on them ("Premium Running Boards", sorry no DC p/n) that I think I'll put on my rig when CINC-house (commander-in-chief ) gives me final approval. There was some pretty garish diamond plate stuff pimping up a 3500 DRW...ooh, ow, Huggy Bear showed more class in Starsky and Hutch!

Cheers,
DT

Personally, if I were to get a DRW, I would go for that Almond color, it has much more personality than white!

Hunter

Re:Slipped up at the dealer.....

Hunter, FiverBob was wantin an Almond one with duals, they wouldn't make it for him. What a shame. Glad I have the almond. First big storm drops pine needles on the roads here. Then the water splashes them up as you drive, they stick to lower part of body. Good thing they match the almond color, next storm is due here Fri. eve. Should be a good color for our trip next summer to Alaska. The mud up there kinda matches Almond also. Visualize Fiver's white duallie with Alaska mud all over the sides. :'( :'(
