Well guys the old suncoast slipped for the first time today, during a race, no less! I hammered down at about 25mph next to a Ferd and it slipped on the downshift from third to second.
My Question is, is this the beginning of the end for this tranny? I am not super worried about it, because of Suncoast's warranty, But I just wonder how much longer until it slips all the time?

 

It's probably the beginning of the end. Slippage problems just don't ever seem to go away by themselves, unless you catch it really fast and there's an adjustment (such as a band adjustment) you can make that affects the exact area that slipped. I would anticipate more problems if I were you.

 

Are you running their 3 disc converter?

 

Let us know how you make out. They hung my buddy out to dry,they did not honor warranty. He broke his kryo input shaft. They would not even discount the parts to fix it.
