silencer ring

i would like to remove my silencer ring does anybody have pics of the process to remove it. if i do remove it can i put it back in and if removed can it do any damage to the turbo

you can put it back in pretty easily, and it wont cause and damage to the turbo as long as you dont damage it taking the ring off or putting it on, its pretty simple though, i just used one flathead screwdriver and had it off in 5 minutes or less.

Haha i like noise also! its a high pitched whine like you hear from a semi truck that is romping on the pedal. I drove through a tunnel the other day and drooled because it sounds good! Straight pipe the exhaust and you get a nice whistle even at Idle!

Ive Got The Straight Pipe With A 21x5 Inch Tip The Exhaust Pipe That Runs Off The Turbo All The Way To The Back What Diameter Is That

Could be, but like i said im not sure about the 3rd gens, can you tell any difference in the sound of a 3rd gen straight piped, compared to a 2nd gen?

ya a little my buddy has one and it sounds about the same as mine and another has a 1st and it sounds almost the same i think mine is louder though

Nice... The 2004 CTD came with a 4" exhaust stock. The early 04's went from 3.5" at the turbo to 4". The 04.5's were 4" the whole way. It may still be aftermarket though.
