side window vibration
side window vibration
On my 04.5 I have noticed the side windows vibrating at highway speeds. Its not real loud but kinda annoying. It is like the windows aren't tight when they are rolled all of the way up. If you give the power window button a light touch down the window tightens up against the seal and no vibe. This takes a lot of practice to get the right amount of roll down without getting wind noise. A guy shouldn't have to do this on a brand new truck. Anyone else hear this window vibration. I would like to have something done about it but dread taking it back to the dealer and chance them making it worse.
Just curious

What I have experienced at highway speeds (75 mph+) is the vibration of the side view mirror against the glass. If you look closely, it actually rests against the outside surface of the glass. Mine was most noticeable when the window was closed. I am sure this is the cause because I could put my finger right at this spot (on the inside) and the rattle stopped.
Mentioned it to the dealer and he said he hadn't heard of this but could see how it could happen. His only solution was to order a whole new mirror, which wouldn't solve a thing. I told him not to worry about it. I will get my utility knife and shave a mm or so off the edge that touches the glass if it bothers me too much.

Driver's side window rattle
Do you have the towing mirrors?
I had the same experience. The dealer has tried to fix it twice. They made it worse both times. They even "adjusted the door" which made no sense, but probably made them some money from DC. I am just going to deal with it.

i have the same problem
only on the passenger door though... :/ i just lightly tapped the down switch and it popped tight against the seal so no more annoyance
i dont think the dealer is smart enough to handle these little problems some times :/
