have stock 03 2500 quad cab 4x4 Laramie
slamed passenger door engine stopped (started but would not run)
next day diesel started but when closed driver door engine quit.
now diesel will crank but won't start - get P0629 code(high voltage detected on fuel lift pump).
If I clear code will it start??? - will I fry ecm???
any ideas???

Think I'd check main bulk head connectors,battery cables first.Make sure there tight.Then go from there.Pray if its towed in it stays not running!

 

P0629 fuel lift pump circuit high OR fuel pump relay circuit high
what if I reset fault ? will it start then ? will loosing a ground make it go high?is there a hot wire touching the above?

 

weird coincedense. I would say your canister mounted lift pump has failed. If you bump the starter you should be able to hear it run for 20 seconds. If it doesn't you can sometimes "tap" (beat) on it with a hammer enough to start running. If you can get it to "buzz" often the engine will start.

 

when I turn ignition on but dont start I can hear lift pump for about 7 seconds or so - any ideas?
