seatbelt dinger

Is there anyway to disable the seatbelt dinger ? (without putting on your seatbelt or buying a clip from the bone yard)

I took the male center seat belt and clipped it into the drivers seat female.

He means the owner's manual, not the shop manual. It's a bit of an involved process, but actually does work. I found it easier to do with two people. Involves turning the ignition on & off & plugging in & unplugging the seat belt a certain number of times. Whatever number it says, do it more. Some posters on this topic have said it doesn't work with the min number, but does if more.

I just took the plug loose under the seat and put a wire from one side to the other. It has worked for years. I hadn't heard about the owners manual thing. I guess I might look into that.

Read the owners manual it explains how to shut it off, it is very simple and can be done is a matter of seconds you can also turn off the horn chirp when using the keyless remote to lock the doors. I did both on my 06. Dave

dealer can turn off chime, but light will stay on with scan tool, generally only takes a few minutes.

The new bully dog programmer allows you to disable it.
