does anyone know how to shut off the noisemaker that comes on when the door is open and the key is on?

let me rephrase, when the key is in the acc. position and the door is open

ex.- i want to listen to the radio with the door open but it is still making noise

 

I think the only way to listen to the radio with the door open is to turn the key to the on position, but your gear selector lights, and milaege will be on.

 

why not open the window?

 

Push the hook on the side of your door in with something like a key or screwdriver, then when your done lift the inside handle up and it will pop back open and you can close your door, but remember to open it before you shut it...not that I've done it or anything

 

I am not sure about the 03 but on my 01 there are two wires attached to the back of the tumblers. I just unplugged them. All function of the damned dinger work except the key in the ignition.
