Seat Swap
Seat Swap
If I have a 40/20/40 front seat, can I swap in a set of buckets with the large center console? Looks like the seats will bolt right in, but the console is what I'm unsure about. My truck is an '08 and the bucket seats are supposed to be proper for '06-'09. Thanks!
The center console probably bolts to the seat brackets. That's the way your current seat center is held in. Of course, there will be a couple more mounting bolts which likely have pre-drilled holes on the floorboard.
Looks like the console will not be a problem at all. It comes with all the pieces to make it mate into the dash. Looks like I have to remove my current flip down cup holder assembly and the console will fit right in there.
The other difference I noted is in the seatbelt anchor. My current seatbelt anchor bolts to the floor. The seat belt anchor for the buckets is attached to the side of the seat itself. Will I be able to unbolt my current anchors from the floor and attach them to the side of the bucket seats? If the anchor plate is different, it looks like I will have to change out the whole seatbelt. Thanks!
