Seat swap now seat belt light is on
I have been searched the forums but cant get the seat belt light off. I have a 99 and swapped in either 00 or 01 power leather seats including the SCTM under the center seat. Everything connected fine except I have had the light on since the swap. They belts will lock when you jam on the brakes. I removed some of the casing on the seat belt receiver harness and jumped it with another piece of wire. Light still stayed on. My mechanic thinks it works off of resistance.
Will the 01 SCTM still talk fine with my 99 computer? Could that be the issue that is causing the light? I really dont want to pull off the led on the dash.
The seat belt receiver harness reads 4.85volts when it is unplugged coming from the harness. But when I connect the harness i to the buckle receiver i get a reading of zero.

My seat belt buckle went bad in my 01.5 causing the light to stay on. They gut gunked up after time and can cause the connection to not contact. you may jsut need a new buckle.
This didn't start til after the dealer sprayed lube into it, BTW.
