I think those headlights are a bit to big as well. But that is a very sharp looking front end overall...

Maybe I'am getting old but I don't see any difference in that picture and the 03-05's except for the bigger (uglier) headlights and the cummins badge. Looks the same as my 05, maybe if they were side by side you could see the different lines about the trucks but going by pictures sure is hard to see the difference.

I beleave that picture is a QC, the mega cabs are probably alot uglier, I would have to see one in person before passing judgment on it though.

Dakotas seem to be selling nicely. They were up 26% last month, 5% year-to-date. Durango sales do seem to have leveled off. They were down 9% last month and 11% year-to-date. Not sure why though. The new Durango was selling very nicely when it first came out. Could have something to do with the much-publicized ball joint recall.

IMO, I think a fullsize Dakota would look pretty sharp, just change the angle of the grill a bit.

Is it me or does the driver door have a color shift (lighter in color) than the back door? Huge front "bug eye" lights. Pass......... New body styles/changes take a while for me to warm up to.

When the 3rd gens came out in '03 I didn't like them, but they definately grew on me, so we'll see how this new front end makes me feel in a couple months

Anybody look to see if the 7/70,000 is extinct ? Wondering if that covers all 06 trucks or mid year on up ? Was looking to buy another work truck but I might wait and get a used 04 or 05 ........anybody know about the "contractor special " that's supposed to come out ?? Sure would be nice to have a generator installed on truck and under warranty for 3yr/36 .

I'm the opposite. When the 3rd Gens came out I thought it was the second best thing Dodge ever did for their trucks (1st best thing was putting a Cummins in it). Actually, I guess it was the third best thing. The second best was with the new design on the 2nd gen trucks...which lead to the 3rd Gen.

With this new design, I don't like it in pictures...I don't like it in person...I don't like to even think about liking it. I do not like green eggs and ham!!!

Cummins or not, I won't be buying another Dodge until they get rid of that ugly front end. With these new '06 front ends, Ford can once again claim the title for best looking truck on the road. Now...if they'd just lose the PSD and get a Cummins. I still don't understand why Ford would use the Powerstroke when the OWN Cummins.

FORD DOES NOT OWN CUMMINS! I promise.

I do not like them Sam I Am!!!!!

Hoss... I am in 100% agreement with you. I do not like the new body style. I never really liked the 2nd gen. body style but when the 3 gen. came out I really liked it. But the new front end is horrible now. It looks (like I have said many times in the past) like a HD Dakota. UGLY!!!!!!!!

Dodge Take Notice...... I won't be buying one of the new Ugly trucks until you change them back or make some other drastic change for the better. You are looking about as ugly as the new Chevy trucks!!!!
