u can call the 1 800 number and they will walk u through it. It involves getting the sat. receiver number code from the sat. unit and setting up a new account. Very easy stuff. look around for specials too.

i never heard of a "lifetime" membership from Sirius? If I'm not being too nosy, around how much was it? I let mine expire but am thinking of renewing because commercial radio sucks.

Always a day late, and a dollar short.

Yes, but I do not believe that you can transfer it to another receiver. Ask...

I checked around a few months back and around $500.00 is what I was told for life time service, and I was told you could transfer the account to a different receiver up to 2 times.

I have not gotten around to doing it yet.

Rush...Something to think about before you re-up on the Sat. radio...
When I purchased my truck it had the single CD player in it. I went to ebay and for 125.00 I purchased the OEM 6 disc that plays MP3s as well. Simple to install and soooooo worth it. I now have 600 songs and sat. radio.
Consider that if this is something you might want to do, change the radio first and then re-up as it will not use up one of the two opportunities to switch radios. Hope this makes sense

The 500 Lifetime service is a good thing although they charge 75 to change to a different receiver. But if you just change out the head unit, the ESN will not change because that is a different piece of equipment.

Be sure to read the fine print. I think there were only a few circumstances where they allow you to transfer the lifetime subscription.

Also, you may as well wait until the factory subscription quits working. A friends is still working after 2 years.
