I've seen people use fishing line to remove the badges. And to put them back on use 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive. That will hold anything on.

If you're removing the "RAM 3500" (or 2500) you might want to try putting duct tape or something ontop of the letters/numbers to hold them together.
When you order new badges from the factory they come on a film so everything lines up so you can put them on in one shot. I'd thing putting each piece on 1 at a time would drive you crazy trying to get them lined up.

A little heat on the emblem and then you can pull it right off. Try not to pull off at to much of an angle or the side of the emblem will dig into the paint, I usually place a plastic wedge under the opposite side of the emblem from which you are pulling. Use DX103 cleaner to take the sticky film off the paint. (you can buy this at any PPG paint house) Make sure to re-wax the area after you are done because the DX103 takes the wax off also. 3m emblem tape works good for install.
