Remote starter on a 6 speed manual?
Guess I'll worry about getting one of those in about 40 years! MegaTony, you got one?
Mine will start in up to 3rd without the clutch in.... Tried it out when I installed my remote start!
I always use the TT or at the very least sit and wait for the EGTs to come down... Always in neutral anyways

And W T F is a Rascal?

I am only 36 years young now.Rascal is a seat with wheels (scooter with 3 wheel type thingy) for the old and infirm. Sort of like them scooters at Wal-Mart that some of the old farts in here grocery shop with.

[Car Czar] This remote start device that I have been reading about on DTR seems dangerous. Starting today we are going to outlaw all remote start devices, but only for those dirty old big stinky diesel trucks. Maybe then they can start to realize that squirrel farts are the only solution to solving this global transportation pollution problem. [/Car Czar]

BTW, my wife would still find a way to remotely drive the truck through our house.
I don't know if anyone answered the original question, but yes there are remote starts for the manuals. I just traded my 04 and am waiting for my appointment to have a Astrostart brand installed on my 09. Living in Alaska, an auto start helps in the resale. When your at work for 8-12 hours a two-way auto start can be programmed to start and run for up to 30 minutes when core temp. drops below a pre-set value. A two-way unit tells you when it has started. Pretty important when it's -50 outside.
Being lazy has nothing to do with it!
Locally we have an installer that has tested several brands and the best performers are a ComproStar Pro and Astrostart. Both have delays for the heater grid and can be used with manual trannys.
