Rear view mirrow + Overhead gauge pod came off

So it looks like heavy duty adhesive backing velcro couldnt hold up to the 90 degree weather and has pulled off of the windshield. Not only did the glue on the velcro melt down but my rear view mirror came off too. Now i'm stuck, what do I use to hold this stuff on both the overhead pod and the rear view???

I don't know about the rearview mirror but I was told to use black RTV silicone for the overhead pod. I used it for over a amost a year and no problems. It survived August and September heat here and winter so far.The RTV silicone is at most hardware stores and when dry doesn't show like the velcro stuff did. It does take a long time to dry but I think it is worth it. Clean with alcohol on everything before doing it again.....No whiskey and or vodka or tasting .

for the rear view mirror they have that crucial rearview mirror glue at most autoparts places...

dont know about the pod though... silicone does sound alot better than the velcro stuff...

I picked up some black silicone rtv for the pod and got the rearview mirror glue stuff at the auto store so the mirror is up and running and I'm gonna give the pod a try tomorrow nite. Figure the longer it can set up the better, will probably need to form some kind of brace to hold it up there...2X4...thanks for the help!
