Rear road armor
As mentioned in a previous post, looks like someone tagged my rear bumper in a parking lot. The 2500 LB takes a lot of linear space (21ft) and often sticks into space behind unless you're willing to leave the nose sticking waaay out.
The chrome factory bumber is not scratched. Just pushed in and not a lot either. But the metal can't be much more than about .025 sheet steel, if that. I can flex the ends with my fingertips. What happened to the .125" bumpers in the trucks of old?
Haven't had a body shop give me an estimate yet, BUT, there has to be a better solution assuming replacement is required. I got the front covered, but would like an "original-like" solution for the rear. Silver paint, to match the silver lower trim, would be OK if the factory lighting and towing gear can be used.
Got any ideas?
