Rear Leaf Springs "Clunk" when loaded
Has anybody found a cure for the noisy clunk in the rear leaf springs with a loaded truck ('04). No noises when lightly loaded. I have used a lubricant product (lubriplate - used on crane jibs) on the pads between the springs with no improvement.
Any ideas? I searched the forums...I remember seeing similar complaints when the third gen trucks first hit the streets.

Air Bags, anyone. I have notice clunks when going over sharp bumps, but not when I was loaded. Then again I never really paid attention. To busy looking out for the other driver(s).

My cuz had a 2500 chevy HD and it had pads under the leafs, maybe just the overloads though if I recall correctly. Anyway, they were replaced under warranty a few times since that truck was well loaded everyday driving up beat up city streets. They seemed to keep it quiet though. This was a long time ago so my memory is foggy about how quiet they were.
