Realtime MPG reading??

Realtime MPG reading??
Was wondering if there is anything out there that can tap into the MPG computer on the overhead that will give a realtime MPG reading. The currenty one does a average. Is there one out there that gives the MPG of what the truck is getting at that time.

I was looking into a scan gage. How long have you had yours and have you hand calculated to see how correct it is? Also they say they work on different vehicls have you moved yours to another vehicle and did it work?

Scan Guage
I've tried it on three vehicles, it "connected" to all three. Apparantly it reads some codes, but not all, two of the vehicles had warning lights but scanner showed no codes.Has a lot of good guages, rpm, mph, mpg, throttle position, and more. Neat device, cheap.
