Ever since I got my truck ive been having problems with my radio, sometimes it will just go dead for 3-4 seconds then come back on. It doesnt matter if its on sat. FM or CD. My brother noticed that it only does it when i have my phone in my truck. When i go to areas where my service is up and down(i can sit and watch the bars) the radio will cut out. Many times right before if get a call the radio goes dead as well. Its a Nextel w/ 2 way, anyone else had this problem?

 

I have that same problem with my 06, but only with the sirius sat. my other truck has no issuses with the XM reception I have the sirius freefor a year,then I'm gonna need help changingover from sirius to the incredible XM. XM is the only thing keeping the GM dynasty 's BIG BADD duracrap aflouat all the hotties want the XM. THE PURFECT CTD WOULD HAVE A BOSE SPEAKER SYSTEN WITH XM THEY COULDN'T SELL ENUGH OF THEM. THEN US CTD OWNERS COULD PROUDLY HANG OUR BOOTS IN THE REAR WINDOW AGAIN

 

Its the nextel. I had this problem on most vehicles were you get kind of a tat tat tat noise and you can tell you are getting a call before you get it. Its frequency effects computer monitors if you get close and most unshielded speakers. I am not sure of details, but it is something with Nextel using a different frequency that other carriers and that is why you cannot roam on another carriers network like you can with other companies.

My roommate has a Nextel and you can hear the tat tat tat over the TV before the phone rings.
I had a similar experience around Amarillo with my CD player.
