radio just quit ???

I stopped at Mickey D's for luch with the kids today and when we got back in the truck the radio would not work. No clock, nothing at all.. did a quick check of the fuse and that is not the problem. Is there a simple plug behind the radio that could have came loose? I live up a very rough 2.5 mile dirt road and I have had things like this happen in other trucks before...Any thoughts???

It appears that he was banned. Look under his username. Probably won't get a response from him! Anyhow......if the fuses are good, probably just the radio itself. Have changed a lot of them over the years. You can have the dealer send it in for repair, but you could probably find on on ebay much cheaper. Cheapest "repair" we ever got back was just over $250. I don't think they repair them, more like overhaul them.

Mine is intermittantly not working now. Anybody got a fix for this. I'm not ready to drop a grand on the Pioneer yet.

The radio in my truck quit very shortly after buying the truck. It turned out to be an issue with the ecm programing(or something like that)....something to do with how the truck shuts down power to the accessories during cranking of the engine.

well it was just a matter of hookin it up & updating some shiate.

the radio would sometimes work when in accessorie mode, but most of the time not at all.....no clock, no uconnect, nothing.

Mine was only playing from the right side. Needed a new amplifier. Now blown speaker on the right side. Its all warr., but man!!! I left GM for a reason...

The "Enterprise Rental Car girl" (errrr ahhh, salesperson) told me she hears about a lot of those on the Rams and 300 M's.

mine quit working last night. The trim lights in the unit were on but nothing else. I could get the CD to eject and the clock would come on for about 15 seconds (time was accurated did not reset), and would also accept the CD with same clock result. Got back in it this morning and it was working fine...who knows!

Radio

I purchased a 04.5 CTD with Infinity that the radio was missing, replaced it with a single cd player out of an 02 Ram. It will light up but won't play. Is there a factory amplifier for the Infinity? If so where it located? I am getting tired of singing to myself.

gRamAM Diesel: Mine was doing the same thing. Turned out it was a loose fuse (cant remember the number but its label made it sound like an engine fuse). With the fuse pulled out, it would do exactly what you said. In, it worked fine.
