pulsating power steering

I did a search but didn't find my exact symptoms.

My truck is STOCK, STOCK, STOCK, 04.5, 78K, 4wd, city driven. The power steering has worked fine until yesterday. It steers left and right just fine, until I release the steering wheel after a cut, while moving. As the steering returns to neutral, it pulses (jerks). Same problem in either direction.

No leaks, fluid level is good, cap vacuum seals to reservoir, no odd noises. No unusual tire wear or wobbly ball joints. The truck is tight. I'm pretty smart at times... but it seems like some type of directional return fluid valve in the box is stuttering.

Anyone have any insight?

Thanks

I'm having the exact problem you are. I've checked everything and can't come up with anything. Have you found what the problem is? If so please share.

Check the Dodge TSB Site http://dodgeram.info/tsb/index.html. I think there are some TSB regarding the steering systems and a hose dampner might be needed.

I have an 04.5 and had the very same thing, but my fluid was a little low, I put Lucas fluid in it and it stopped.
