PS problem?
I've been having some issues with what I think is my power steering.
At idle, a little touch especially to the left, causes a knocking sound and feel in the steering wheel. Add A/C and it is more noticeable. At speed, a little touch puts a tiny knock I can feel either in the wheel or, oddly, in the go pedal.
It turns from side to side at idle or speed with no other sounds or sensations.
Should I be looking to replace the pump soon or could it be something else?
TIA

I would check gear box bolts and pitman arm nut and track bar bolts for proper torque first. Go under vehicle with park brake on and in park. The wheels on ground then have someone work wheel back and forth engine running, check for any looseness in steering gear.
