Proud parents!

We wanted to express our biggest thanks to you guys here.

After TWO weeks of looking we found our truck lastnight. We got a hit on one in S.C. The dealer (Bob Allen) sent a guy to pick her up this morning. We should have her in our driveway tomorrow night.

We bought a white 03 SLT 3500 QC, DRW, CTD H.O., 6 speed & 410's. (the 410's were real hard to find around here)

We got our business lic. so we got the $300 off for "on the job" on top of the $2,500 rebate and got a killer trade on our 2000 Jeep Wrangler sport w/4" lift and 35's. We made out great.

We are going to be living in the RAM for a while because we are going to pull RV's out of Indiana on July 1.

It will be line-Xed first off. Then Hidden Hitches 18K 5er and the 30K goose to start. Adding a prodigy brake controller. Pacbrake, 80gal Aux fuel tank toolbox combo. And full mud flaps to bring up the rear.

I am like a kid on Christmas eve!!

And to top it off my dealer called tonight and said he got us even a better APR with another bank today and wants me to come in and redo our loan papers. Hey, it will save us a $1.50 per month! WhooHoooo I can now get the fuzzy dice for the rearview. ;D

Thanks to this fourm and all of you!!!

Greg and Jennifer

Good for you both. Let us know how your venture works out! Do you need to change the valve springs on an 03 when you install the E-brake? So far every one I know who tows with an E-brake had to install 60# V-springs. Just Curious

Re:Proud parents!

Thanks. I think it needs a Red, White & Blue ribbon

Wow, 60# valve springs? I don't know. I got a quote from Replubic diesel to day on the ebrake and it was right under a grand and the shifter **** was $45.00 and labor was about 8 hours and would cost right about $500.00!

So, is about $1,500 for the set up about right? Seems a tad steep.

We just droped $1,300 on the 25K 5th wheel hitch(Putnam), gooseneck(Putnam), and the Line-X + Labor and the truck is not in yet but will be in the morning. Saturday will be the install day for the goodies.

Re:Proud parents!

:Boy those figures sound awful high!!! What e-brake? Sounds like a Banks with a few xtra bucks added on ![undecided] We put a Pacbrake on mine in about 2.5hrs and most of the time was spent on the wiring!! Ofcourse I don't know alot about the 03' so who am I to say!! I found when I got on the internet to find a e-brake, I found the average price for mine was $575, but I found it as high as $1080. That was to buy outright and Install myself Check the net and call around to find out how competive that shop is. Is it the Jacobs, they are higher from what I understand. Daryl

Yea, I thought that was high as well. The salesman left the message on out phone and did not say what brand it was. I didn't have time to call him back today. Jennifer called the Dodge dealer and they quoted a price of $1,300 + $200 to install it. Geesh.......I wish I was made of money.

Still looking for a good price to compare to.

BTW. I picked her up tonight and WOW is she great or what!
I am in LOVE! I can't wait to get it all dolled up for our job that starts on the 1st. of July.
