mud flaps
mud flaps
Hi all, just want to know if anyone has an answer for me.

I wanted to buy the mudflaps from cummins, however, thier add says that it will not fit the SRW 3500, but it says it will fit front and rear of 2500. I thought the 3500 and 2500 were the same body style? Has anyone put these on their 3500? If so do they fit? Just wanted to know before I buy. I also noticed it doesn't include screws? How cheap is that? Anyway I know it's a stupid question, remeber Kyle there are no stupid questions just stupid people.
Re:mud flaps
what mudflaps are you refering to ? I suppose it doesn't much matter....anthing that will fit a 2500 will fit a 3500 single rear wheel. It's probably a mis-print - they probably mean they won't fit a dually.

Thanks all! I just had the dealership put the mopar ones on that are molded. I also had them install the fog lights. SIX hours wow. Maybe I should have done em my self. They did give me a break at 38.00 bucks an hour. I guess they have some guilt? Oh well. I appriciate the help.

Thanks Jonsey and HOSS. I just got off the phone with the service manager at the dealership. He told me that SIX HOURS was a LOT. He told me that he would be sending me a refund. I have to say I just picked up the truck this morning, and they did a wounderful job. I wished I would have gotten the wheel liners Jonesey, but my wife just about S#$t when she saw how much the mud flaps and lights were with the install. I will have to hit her up for the wheel liners after she has had a chance to forget how much I just spent
. I hope someone will answer this question:

The dealership wired the fog lights to come on when the pickup has its low beams on. It seems like I read that you were supposed to get some kind of light box or something if you are going to do that???
[/quote]

..... or anywhere else. It's a female thing so there is no getting around it. It's called histerics and you will be reminded of the things you have done or the money you have spent when you have ticked her off. Hoss obviously has some experience in this.

Re:mud flaps
Zthrottle, you know that female thing Hoss was talking about? I've also noticed that my wife can smell the extra money in my account even if I keep my mouth shut.
I haven't let her drive the Cummins as she has a Kia Sportage, and she is happy with it. If I let her drive my pickup she'll make me spend the refund on another Dodge pickup. So I'll probably let her have the refund and keep her out of my pickup!
Oops I mean I let her have whats left over when I split it with Hoss.
By the way I noticed a lot less rocks hitting the side driving down the dirt road to my house then when I didn't have the mud flaps. Plus I think they kinda give the pickup a little more character.

When equipped with the fog lights from the factory the switch is built into the headlight switch. You pull on the switch to activate the fog lights. I think the box that you are talking about is to make the fog lights stay on when used in conjunction with the high beams. I believe it is called a bright box. I have not seen one available for the Gen 3s. I think Genos Garage offers it for th Gen 2s.
