project blue lighting complete for now

ok some of you may have seen some of my other posts about my dash with the led kit. well i just changed out my gauge lights with blue led's and my hvac lights with leds. the gauges look great now and match the dash. the hvac lights are kind of dim but good enough for me, except the red part of the temp switch does not show up. It will take some more in depth modification to spread the light evenly for the hvac. Also i installed two blue led's shining down on the cupholder area. They were kind of bright at first but i fabricated some makeshift lids on top. I took a plastic spindle of cds and cut the middle bottom out, cut it in half and smoothed it out. superglued them on top of the lights and now all you see is the blue light shining on the cupholder. The hvac lights i ordered would not fit right so i had to use a dremel tool and a razor to shave some excess plastic off of the side to make them fit in the slot. here are some pics. sorry about my pics, my camera sucks but i think you get the idea. see some of my other posts about my dash and ask any questions if you are considering doing something similiar, even in other colors. I think i could help.

here is the new isspro gauge lights in their socket, bigger one is turbo gauge.

here is the old hvac bulb and socket and new led bulb and socket

use the dremel tool to shave some plastic off the side of the new socket to fit, just be carefull of the contact wire.

the back of the hvac panel

the isspro's lit up with the dash

hvac panel lit up

the hvac and cup holder lit up

cupholder leds with fabricated lids.

if you want to see more ask for something more specific i can try to get a better pic with more light maybe.

well no i havnt. im not sure i will because those lights i believe are led's that are soldered into the circuit cards. plus im about to go on deployment for seven months. I should have the truck for many years so you never know whats in store for the future. I think i was just sick of having green lights in every truck i owned.
