Power steering pump toast!

Power steering pump toast!
So the other night I backed my truck up and went to pull forward and had no power steering and the brake pedal was very touchy. To make a long story short its at the dealer being repaired but not under warranty because apparently the bd-steering brace and pro-comp dual steering stabilizer I had installed with my 3" lift about a month ago are placing extraordinary stress on the pump. I'm calling bs on this since I had a similar setup on my 03 with no problems I just wanted to know why a dual steering stabilizer places undo stress on my power steering pump. The funny part is the dealer said its a double edge sword since with my larger 33" tires its a benefit to have the dual steering stabilizer to avoid death wobble. I love my truck and the way it drives and have had zero issues until now. I just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

Never seems to amaze me at the lengths some of these places will go to avoid doing something under warranty. Just makes you want to do repeat business at that dealership.

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
I call BS. Your set up is well within the limits of that pump. Look how many people are running 37's and larger tires and using a stock pump.

Update: steering gear was toast too, truck was easy to turn left but not right. Got the truck back and all seems well accept for the $1,000.00 plus bill. Needless to say I'm ticked. I'm not done with this yet though, time for a letter since the dealer couldn't proove that the lift caused the failure.
