Power Windows not working

Sorry, don't know why I said door locks when I meant windows. Must have had to much on my mind and was thinking about how expensive it will be when I have to go to the dealer to get this repaired if I can't get it fixed myself.

My power windows stopped working. On all doors the switch will not work. One day everything is OK and the next day no windows will work. I checked the fuse and it good. Just to make sure I switched it with another fuse and it did not make a difference. I forget exactly which fuse position it is but it is a 40A fuse in the first row. Just looking to see if anybody has ideas before I schedule a service appointment.

Why would it be expensive? Your windows should still be covered under warraanty for a 2003 truck. Take it in and let them fix it for free.

Drafter - mine just went out also. the only switch that still works is the drive side front. None of the other switches will lower the windows (and yes i checked the window lock button). I will be bringing my in tomorrow.

Festus,

I'm well past 36,000 miles so I don't think it will be under warrenty. My past experience tells me that everything is expensive when you go in for service.

RamRat,

We will have to compare notes on what happened and what it cost to fix.

brought my truck to the dealer this morning - got a call at 12 noon - no problems with windows going up and down you can come pick up your truck.... - my response was - did you check the window switches other than the drivers door - 1 minute of silence - they replied we will look at it again.... haven't heard from them since....

Well got my truck back (before the holidays) and what they did was replaced the front driver side switch - said the lock/unlock button was not working (intermittent problem - lucky for me it wasn't working when i went to pick it up) So far so good.
