I started getting a really loud bang on big bumps. Everything seems tight (spare, exhaust, suspension) except for maybe one tailgate hinge. Anyone experience this? I will drive around with the tailgate off soon but wanted to post on here too.

 

Check your hitch, too. Is there any play when the tail gate is shut? Is the spare tire tight?

 

The tailgate hinges have a round cup shaped plastic insert. Is yours worn out or missing?

 

Mine is there. I think it might have worn.
