Pics of my aftermarket stereo (Pioneer) installed..

I hated the lack of clarity of the stock stereo and not being able to read the words from the stock Sirius tuner. I already had the Pioneer stereo so I bought an install kit from Crutchfield and bought a Sirius tuner that goes with my stereo here.

I yanked out my stock Sirius tuner behind the glove box and replaced it with the tuner I purchased. For those of you who are looking into doing this....the stock Sirius tuner has some sort of a weird adapter that goes around the antenna connector. Just pull the connector off and it will plug right into whatever tuner you buy, that way you can use the stock antenna.

I called Sirius and had them transfer my year prepaid service from Dodge over to my new tuner that I installed.

Here are the pics:

When i had my radio installed i asked about the Sirius tuner box and the guy said it was intergrated in the body computer and could not be removed but thought that sounded fishy to me

I don't have any part numbers. The dashes will be in the new parts section for the Ram trucks. The console bezel will be in the OEM body parts section.

Do you have the steering wheel controls for your radio?? If so, do they work with the aftermarket unit???

Not sure if you're referring to me or not, but no I don't have the steering wheel controls.

I do not. I like remotes, you can do more stuff. Pac makes a steering wheel control interface that makes your stock steering wheel controls work with aftermarket radios. One of my friends has the same radio I do (Pioneer AVIC-Z1)
and he has the PAC interface and it works good.
