Wow, kids with laptops in the back seat? I just tell my kids to look out the window at the scenery. That's what my dad did. And if they get squirly, I threaten them with pulling the truck over and beating their a---- just as my dad did. It builds character.

Anyway, I was thinking of a permanant inverter install too. Not for laptops though, but to run my freezer locker in the back of the truck when I'm brining frozen elk meat back from my hunts. Right now I have to run it off a gasoline generator. But now that you guys are mentioning you have upwards of 5kW inverters, I'm curious to know what you guys are using the kind of power for. Obviously not laptops. What kind of stuff are you powering? I need to know what I'm missing out on.
