Overhead DVD unit

Hi everyone's

Does anyone's ever install one and if so does it the same unit from a 2005 and a 2006 I have a deal for a 2005 but I am wondering if it will fit my truck.

I don't think it will work. I bought one for my truck and although everything looks right and the plugs are all the same, They moved some wires around in the plugs so when you plug it in it doesn't do anything. I'm just glad I decided to test it before I cut the headliner up.....
You can get the 03-05 DVD units pretty cheap so I know it's enticing but unless you get a wiring schematic and start shifting wires around it won't work in an 06 or 07....

I sure did. Believe me, I wanted that thing to work and I messed with it for hours trying to figure it out. I sold it to a guy with an 05 and it worked perfectly for him....

I went after market the screens on the factory unit is way to small and bulky for the screen you get I went with a 9" my daughter loves it.

I just wanted a setup that had the player built into it without having to put a player under the seat. Yes, $3-400.00 is what they are going for and it's a great deal. I will end up with an aftermarket unit eventually because a factory unit for the 06-07s runs $1000+ and I can get an aftermarket one with a huge screen for less than that.......

As I said though, if you have the time and patience, and also have a wiring diagram for the truck and the DVD unit, you could move some wires around and make it work.......

My after market unit is self contained no with no remote player. Wireless head sets and remote control.
