Ordering a truck from out of state.... How?

I can not find a new Mega Cab with the options I want within 200 miles of where I live. My local dealer has one, but I think he is asking too much, and he says there are none to be had.... BS. I know there are guys on this web site who have gotten trucks from out of town. Some Questions:

How do you arrange the sale?
How to ship?
Tag transfer?

Tell me how you did yours....Please.

Anybody want to buy my 04.5?

It's not that big of a deal. First, get a quote one paper. Take that quote to your local dealer. If he doesn't match it, walk out.

Then, call the other dealer 200 miles away. Talk to a salesman, and make a deal. They're sell the truck to anybody, they don't care. They'll do all the paperwork, and will not collect the sales tax. When the title work is ready, have them mail it to you.

When you get it, take it to the local DMV. You'll need to write a big check, so be prepared. You pay the sales tax according to where the truck will be parked most.

Its really easy. I just bought my truck from Iraq over email and phone. THe truck was located in Florida and had it shipped to my wife in Mass. If you want to know the dealership pm me. They have a lot of really nice used dodges. Any specific questions they answered and it was a really smooth purchase. I still havnt seen the truck but cant wait til March when I come home.

Check out Dallas or Houston

There are plenty of trucks in Dallas and Houston. Check out Greenville Chrysler in Greenville ( just bought a '07 2500 last Friday), TX or Bonham Chrysler in Bonham, TX. Also there are alot on E-bay in Houston.

I ordered one from dealer in Mo. Called and talked to salesman, he faxed order, I signed and faxed back and mailed a small down payment. When truck came in we drove out and paid for it, they put temp tag on and we drove home. Here we paid sales tax, tags, title fee, etc.
