Smile Opinions on this deal

I would like to make an offer on this vehicle. Is there anything that you guys could recommend regarding this model? I am new to Dodge but ready for diesel. My heart is pounding just looking this rig. Any other recommendations are appreciated. Thanks so much.

I wish I knew where to get a 2007 3500 CTD for $32994.50.

If you have good credit, you might find a new one for around the same payments a month.

I've never bought a vehicle sight unseen. I'm not sure how the whole E-bay thing works if you decide it isn't the right truck and back out of the deal once you see it.

You might try looking at autotrader or http://beepbeep.com to get an idea of how much others are trying to see the same vehicle.

Good luck.

Thanks for the replies. I plan on offering $25000 cash for it. I think this may be low for the Big Horn edition. Pricing new ones of that class, not under $40k. Blue book shows $32,000.

you could offer any amount. They probably won't take it.If you read the by it now it said $29,999. It would be a good by at $25,000. I do wish you luck. I will also bet that there is some hidin holes in the bed under the bed liner. Not that it matters, but it sure would be nice to know.

It is a nice truck but im always nervous about buying used vehicles. I can see both caps are missing off the front wheels - nothing big but just one of those things. Also if you look closely at the engine photos it appears to me (I could be wrong) that the filter minder is in the red zone. Makes you wonder if the filter has ever been replaced and what other maintenance has been neglected. With that many miles your bumper to bumper warranty will be gone by the time you take delivery and drive it around a little bit to see if you even like it and whats wrong with it. If you can afford it a new one would be worthwhile, if not i wish you good luck with this one. The Big Horn edition is nothing fancy either so don't let that impact your offer. I bought mine new and with taxes tags and titling i was still under 40k. Hope i could help.

I bought my 2006 new for 34K + tax and license.

I wouldn't give 30K for that one.

I hear you, but I paid under $37K for mine(incl. tax, tags title), Thunder Road group (same as Big Horn), fold flat floor, premium cloth, and tow mirrors.

I would imagine if I were buying that truck today I could get it for closer to $35,500, or at the very least get much better financing terms (I am 6.85% through credit union).

If I were looking at ANY used CTD, it better be a good deal, cause financing alone is going to drive you right up to the new price over the term.

If you're in MO or one of the surrounding states I'd get in touch with Lou Fusz Dodge. I think they're in Kirkwood, which is a few miles south/southwest of downtown St. Louis.

Here's a link with the particulars.

Several folks on this site have bought trucks from Tom Chaney (Tomeygun), but he's moved on and now Bill Miller is taking care of DTR and TDR members. Good deals - I fully intend to buy my next one from them.

Looks like there is still a lot of warranty on it. I would get the VIN and make sure the warranty has not be voided. Look for signs of chip.
Best of luck.

If your close to ND and want the same identical truck with a NV5600 manual and only 15,000 miles and was babied give me a PM. I traded mine off a few weeks ago and I know you could get it for less than the one your looking at.
