So it is not possible to get a full year (365 days) of service on a vehicle? It depends how long it is sitting on the lot before you buy?

Mine is good for a year....activated by me in June, due in June 07. As a matter of fact, I didn't activate right away and kept getting e-mails asking me to activate. Bought truck in March.

Mine was acitvated by the dealer on my purchase date. Supposedly, the dealer (or DC) notifies Sirius when the vehicle is sold and Sirius turns the unit "on". I called about a week later to get it turned on and Sirius said it was already active and just needed my info (name/address/email) to complete the account. It is nice to have the ability to listen "on line" when I'm at work as well. I probably listen to more Sirius at work than I do in the truck!

you only need one channel "OCTANE" and maybe a little hard attack every now and then

Mine was active when I test drove. Sirius sent me a letter saying thanks, and what to do online to register, etc. Bought truck in Jan, and it will expire in Jan 08. I never had to call. I never would have ordered it either cause I could care less about radio. Guess what? I only listen to Sirius now. NO AD's.(except to listen to other sirius channels)

I had to activate mine after I took delivery. There was a Little card in the paper work with the procedure and the number to call Sirius for activation.
I went ahead and bought the lifetime sub.
I can't imagine why you would need anything more than Outlaw country and a preset for a kiddie station in case there are kiddies riding with you, some stations are uncensored.

Some idiot at your dealership must have prematurely activated it. The solution is simple, have your dealer get you a gift card to make up for the lost time! Octane and Lithium + Stern FTMFW!

I'm not going to sweat the $25 worth of service they shorted me by activating the service in Oct (not worth my time). I just thought I'd bring it to the attention of the forum for those that might have bought a left over and were getting rooked for even more time.
When the free service is up I'm going for the lifetime service plan, I don't even listen to terestrial radio anymore.
