Ok to Mix 1 Load-S with 3 Load-E Tires?

Is it okay to replace a Load-E tire with a Load-S tire as long as its the exact same brand, size, style and tread pattern as the rest of the load E's on my truck?

Reason I ask... unfortunately, one of the load E tires on my 03 Ram 2500 5.9 has a puncture in the sidewall and will need to be replaced. A friend just so happens to have a nice (FREE) new-used, low mileage Load S tire that's the exact same brand, size, style and tread pattern as the Load E tires that are currently on my truck... can I use the Load S tire or do I absolutely have to bite the bullet and purchase another Load E? For the record, we're looking at a difference of 118 vs 121.

Are you sure it is Load-S? I'm only familiar with S being associated with Speed Rating (112mph).

I also have never heard of an S load rating normally see B, C, D, E, perhaps an F in our size tires. I would also be concerned about psi difference for the respective load ratings. An "E" is rated at 80 psi, "D" is 65 psi. I would think you would notice that difference in sidewall flex even running the same psi and tire wear between the two would probably different as well again even running the same psi. I personally wouldn't do it for longer than it took me to get another "E". Though there are certainly people who do not tow or at least tow heavy and run "D" rated tires but again they are all the same rating.

Gentlemen... please forgive the mistake. My buddy gave the wrong information. The tire is not a "LOAD-S" ... it is in fact a LOAD-E.
